Craft-A-Long Details:
Join us for a blanket craft-a-long in 2024! This is a multi-pattern craft-a-long that starts on February 1st, 2024 and runs through November 1st. We love a good old-fashioned make-a-long, where everyone makes the same pattern at roughly the same pace, enjoying and sharing the process. We ALSO love a craft-a-long that is as inclusive as possible and allows as many of us as possible to enjoy this beautiful yarn. In this spirit, our 2024 Blanket-a-Long has three levels of participation, all with the same rewards, to give everyone the best possible experience.
Looking for a traditional single-pattern make-a-long? Erin and any other kitties she can persuade will be working on Maya's Meadow, a free crochet pattern by Look At What I Made that was originally released as a mystery-a-long. Follow along with us as we tackle one clue every 2 weeks starting Feb. 1. We have Maya's Meadow Blanket kits available for purchase which can also be shipped to you in 5 monthly installments to increase the make-a-long feel.
For those who aren't comfortable with crochet or just don't love this pattern, our second level offers a curated pattern bundle of some of our absolute favorite botanical-inspired blanket patterns. Choose one of these and you're sure to have some other friends in the chatter thread making along with you.
And last but certainly not least, if you prefer to do your own thing, you can simply make a blanket. You pick (or design!) the pattern, the yarn, the weight, it's up to you. Ultimately, if you make a blanket, you'll get to play along!
As always, your project does need to use Eat.Sleep.Knit yarn and be started and completed within the craft-a-long time frame to qualify for prizes. If you end up finishing up later than expected, you'll still be able to qualify for Hook It! this year (or even next year), so if you're on the fence, take a chance, maybe you'll have a beautiful new blanket to adorn your couch next winter!

This craft-a-long officially begins on the first of February. First, choose your pattern! Pick your yarn, maybe even get ambitious and do a swatch, and cast-on with your fellow ESKers in the Ravelry thread. When your project is done, head to your Progress Dashboard to submit your project and get your stars. Submissions need to be completed before November 2nd to qualify.
Prizes: All 2024 CALs have six size options to allow everyone to play. You'll earn more stars the larger your project is. You can combine as many projects as you'd like - just wait to submit until all your projects for the CAL are done.
Requirements for ALL craft-a-longs:
- All yarn should come from Eat.Sleep.Knit except for minor embellishments
- All projects should start on or after the start date for the craft-a-long and be completed and submitted before the end of the quarter unless another date is specified.
- All projects should use the patterns or themes specified by the individual craft-a-long requirements
- All projects completed within the craft-a-long calendar timeframe will be eligible for the Ravelry prize drawings for that craft-a-long.
