Every knitter knows (or should know!) the deliciousness that is Alpaca wool, right? Not only that but Alpacas are all-around, awesome animals! Well, what better use of a yummy, luxury fiber like Alpaca than to make it back into the animal it came from?!
Meet Zeke the Aloof Alpaca! This new knitting pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to knit Zeke, the cutie pie alpaca. Zeke is a fast, super satisfying project that knits up easily on many yarn/needle combinations. Since it doesn't take much yarn to knit a Zeke, this is a great stash busting project for all those times you've bought just 1 or 2 balls because something was pretty. This pattern is very fun and once you knit one Zeke, you will find you want to knit an entire herd of Alpaca!
Yarn: 110-150 yards of a good Alpaca yarn, your choice! This pattern is written for any size yarn, just use needles 2-3 sizes smaller than those recommended on your yarn label to get a tight knit fabric your stuffing wont show through. Needles: A 36" or longer circular needle and a set of dpn's. Size varies depending on the yarn you pick, see pattern for more details. Notions: Safety eyes or scrap yarn, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, stuffing.
Four sample Zeke with material lists to create them are included in this pattern. Sample Zekes range in size from 14” tall to 20” tall.
