Happily Ever Hooded CAL - Q1 2026

Craft-A-Long Details:

• Pattern Choices: Your choice of any hood or balaclava knit or crochet pattern.
• CAL Dates: Jan. 1 - Mar. 31st

This is a multi-pattern craft-a-long that starts on January 1st, 2026 and runs through March 31st. Choose any knit or crochet pattern for hoods or balaclavas! Your project should cover your entire head - more than a traditional hat - to keep you warm and cozy all winter.

We often get questions about whether individual patterns count as specific techniques, and we urge you to use your very best judgment and choose a pattern that meets the spirit of the craft-a-long to you. Your submitted project or projects should give you the satisfaction of having created something with a hood or hood-like as a balaclava.

This craft-a-long officially begins on the first of January. First, choose your pattern! Pick your yarn, maybe even get ambitious and do a swatch, and cast-on with your fellow ESKers in the Ravelry thread. When your project is done, head to your Progress Dashboard to submit your project and get your stars. Submissions need to be completed before April 1st to qualify.

Prizes: All 2026 CALs have four size options to allow everyone to play. You'll earn more tickets the larger your project is. You can combine as many projects as you'd like - just wait to submit until all your projects for the CAL are done.

Requirements for ALL craft-a-longs:

• All yarn should come from Eat.Sleep.Knit except for minor embellishments
• All projects should start on or after the start date for the craft-a-long and be completed and submitted before the end of the quarter.
• All projects should use the patterns or themes specified by the individual craft-a-long requirements
• All projects completed within the craft-a-long calendar timeframe will be eligible for the Ravelry prize drawings for that craft-a-long.
